New Year Retreat 2024 (Peer Led)
We warmly invite you to our 3-day, peer-led, in-person New Year Retreat at Whirlow Spirituality Centre.
With recorded talks and silent practice, this retreat provides an opportunity for deeper practice at the turning of the year for those with experience of meditation.

Due to limitations around venue availability and reduced trustee and volunteer capacity, Sheffield Insight have made adjustments to its New Year Retreat. This year we will be providing experienced meditators the opportunity, space and support of sangha to deepen their practice at the turning of the year.

The event will take place at Whirlow Spirituality Centre, Whirlow Grange Close, Sheffield, S11 9SY.
Sheffield Insight Meditation will provide

Whirlow Spirituality Centre provides
- A beautiful meditation hall with underfloor heating
- Outdoor grounds with lawn, trees, and paved walking areas

- Lovely nearby walks: footpath to Whirlow Farm & Whirlow Brook Park
You will bring with you
- Experience of meditation as the meditations will be self -guided
- A commitment to attend the full 3-day retreat (preferred)
- Yout own lunch & Snacks
- Herb/Fruit teas as you prefer
To support deepening practice, we will hold the retreat in silence (with phones off) from the first to the last meditation each day.
To help build sangha (community), the last meditation is scheduled earlier on Monday the 30th to allow time for conversation over tea.
Suggested Donation Rates
We recommend that you attend for all 3 days as practice deepens with continuity. However we recognise that you may have other commitments at this time of year, so you may choose to miss day 3 or even days 2 & 3. Unfortunately, the cost is the same whether you choose to attend for one, two or three days.
